Dyson vacuum cleaners have rapidly become very popular and are very effective vacuum cleaners and well liked by their owners. As a result of this Dyson vacuum cleaners tend to be used often and are perhaps worked harder than other vacuum cleaners. 1. Not picking up through the hose
If your Dyson won't pick up using the hose, then check that there is nothing blocking the hose. Picking up larger objects can prevent this from happening again in the future.
2. Blocked cleaner head (brushes)
A blocked cleaner head can be fixed by carefully removing the blockage. Hair, string and other items are usually to blame. Perhaps it's time to replace the cleaner head if it looks worn out, or isn't as effective even after you've removed the blockage.

10. General observations
If you've had your Dyson a while, and have never cleaned the filters, or cleaned the brush head, perhaps now is a good time to have a look and see if the power cable is wearing out, or the filters are dirty. You can replace the parts as necessary, and not be without the use of your Dyson. Prevention is better than cure.
